A bosminid species in the cladoceran originally described from the Northeast U.S. It can be distinguished from other bosminids by having a sensory hair located closer to the base of the rostrum than the eye, by having a bulge on the frontal portion of the cepthalothorax, a few spines located on the mucro, a longer mucro than other bosminids and having a squared off carapace at the dorsal-posterior end.
