  5. Fisherman’s Warf • Has street performers • “The Bushman” who hides behind shrubs and jumps out and scares tourists • The Wax Museum • Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum • Vendors

  6. Alcatraz / The Rock • Federal Penitentiary • Inmates were granted one visit per month • Highest inmate count was 302 • Only 2 inmates successfully escaped and were never found

  7. Chinatown • Birthplace of the fortune cookie • TienHau Temple – oldest temple (1852) • Many vendors • Largest Chinese community outside Asia • The 2000 Census reported 100,574 residents
