Clean Campus Classroom Program • After taking 5th period attendance, scheduled classes are escorted to the Back Quad by their teacher. You will meet with our custodianwho will explain the task at hand. • Follow-up discussion in the classroom helps everyone brainstorm how to prevent so much lunch trash in the first place. Athletic Events Last Week Go Cardinals! Cardinals Win Congratulations to all the Cross Country Runners who competed in the Mt. Carmel Invitational last Saturday at Balboa Park, one of the largest, most prestigious races in San Diego and all of California. • Special congratulations to the boys’ sophomore team which finished 2nd out of 22 teams competing in the Division 2 race The following individuals for earned a medal by finishing in the Top 60 in their race: • Senior Boys: Mulageta Endgaw (37th) and Sawiros Haile (59th) • Sophomore Girls: Anadela Navarrette (48th) and Diana Bataz (51st) • Sophomore Boys: Awal Hussen (14th), Cristobal Navarrette (15th), Miguel Hernandez (42nd), Kaleb Arriero (51st) and Cristian Nunez (52nd) • Freshman Boys: Samael Teklay (31st)

This is a great place to start. http://sat.collegeboard.org/practice • Question of the Day Sign up to receive free daily Official SAT Question of the Day from The College Board. http://sat.collegeboard.org/practice • Number 2 is a free online test preparation website. The site includes a feature that allows parents to monitor their student’s efforts and improvements. https://www.number2.com/ • I Need a Pencil is another good free online test preparation website. Saturday School this Saturday September 28, 2013 8:00am-12:00pm. Come and clear your detentions and get off the LOP list. Students will meet no later than 8am in the front quad where they will be assigned a classroom for the four hours. Students must stay in Saturday School for the entire four hours to receive credit. All Saturday School dates will soon be up on the Hoover website calendar.
Detention This Week • Detention will be held every day after school in Room 405/Computer Lab. • Please tell students to enter through the outside door, not the Library. • Detention starts at 2:30 and ends at 3:30. • Students must be ON TIME to receive detention credit.
