  2. Our Mission Home for Good Dog Rescue (HFG) is a volunteer-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue in Summit, NJ with offices in Berkley Heights. Our mission is to rescue, nurture and adopt homeless dogs into loving homes for good. We are a network of foster homes committed to the well-being of adoptable pets. We strive to give the dogs another chance at life.

  3. Why Rescue a Dog from the South? • Each year, approximately 3.5 million animals are euthanized. Of them, 60percent (2.1 million) are dogs • gas chambers, lethal injection, heart stick • Georgia and South Carolina have the highest euthanasia and kill shelters in the United States • In Georgia, 65 – 70 percent, or 7 out of 10 dogs, animals admitted into the Augusta shelter were euthanized. This is well above the national average of about 50 percent. • In the South Carolina, the euthanasia rate was at 52 percent in 2013 according to the Aiken County shelter.

The Journey from the Southto New Jersey HFG pulls dogs from Georgia, South Carolina and takes local owner surrenders Dogs are put in southern foster homes HFG works with southern fosters to care for dogs not able to make it to NJ due to socialization and medical needs Those dogs that are ready are transported to NJ Once in NJ, they are bathed, vaccinated, microchipped etc. Our passionate and dedicated fosters in NJ bring dogs home and to weekend adoption events or “Meet & Greets”

How Can You Support HFG? 2015 Capital Campaign – “Almost Home” Home for Good Dog Rescue (HFG) is embarking on a new project in 2015 to build a halfway facility in the south called “Almost Home.” This facility will enable us to give proper medical care for our dogs that we pull from high kill shelters in South Carolina and Georgia that cannot make the journey to New Jersey just yet. Our current goal is to raise $500,000 to build the “Almost Home” facility. We are asking for major donors to sponsor the building of the facility and the rooms needed to make it an effective space to care for our dogs. As an appreciation for their generous support, donors will receive recognition in the new facility. • Quarantine Areas and Rooms (Parvo, Heartworm, Mange, Kennel Cough etc.) • Birthing Room • Medical Room • Kitchen Area • Bathing Area • Boarding Area • Indoor/Outdoor Runs • Offices • Meet & Greet Room • HFG Store • Building for Storage

  6. How Can You Support HFG? The 5th Annual Bark-A-Que – We would like YOU to be part of this fun event at the Village Green in Summit, NJ Over 2,500 attendees along with their furry friends! Vendors from around the community Games and fun dog contests Activities for kids and the whole family The Bark-A-Que is also reunion event for our adopters, fosters and volunteers Sponsorships available – day of event sponsor, kissing booth, adoption tent and more… The Bark-A-Que is your chance to not only support a local dog rescue, but to promote your business, no matter how big or small, by having direct contact with the local community! ‘

  7. How Can You Support HFG? 2nd Annual ‘Par for Pups’ – Our 2nd annual golf outing that raises money for HFG’s mission to ensure we continue to rescue dogs and find forever homes. Platinum Sponsor - $5,000 Gold Sponsor – $2,000 Bar Sponsor - $1,000 And more…

  8. How Can You Support HFG? Taste of Italy Tricky Tray Event – Sponsor and/or donate items to our Taste of Italy Tricky Tray event. Each guest buys tickets for a chance to win items that are donated and put together in exciting packages by our passionate volunteers. Hall Sponsor - $500+ Food Sponsor - $250 Bar Sponsor - $100 Prize Sponsor - $50

  10. How Can You Support HFG? Support Our Transport Vehicles Each week, we drive our vans to the south to pick up our dogs from their southern foster homes for the journey back to NJ. In addition, we are continually using our vans for adoption events, fundraisers and weekly activities. You can help us by sponsoring a van to help pay for maintenance costs of current van fleet and help us invest in new vans. Each donation will receive recognition of donation on a van. Sponsorship levels include: $3,500 or more $2,500 $1,500

  11. How Can You Support HFG? Raise the Woof! – We are always looking for sponsors for our offices and facility located in Berkley Heights, NJ to help us with ongoing maintenance. Room Sponsorships - $2,500 - $10,000 Wall Kennel Sponsorship - $350 Engraved Pavers - $75 - $150 Photo Tile - $200 - $300

  12. Become Part of the HFG Family Proud Supporter Become part of the HFG familyby making a pledge to help continue the year round efforts that will enable HFG to rescue more dogs. The pledge levels include: $15,000 or more – Bark of the Park Member $10,000 or more – Woof Star $5,000 or more – Pawsome Pal Each company that pledges, will receive a badge showing their support to place on their company’s web site or on any other materials, with HFG approval. In addition, HFG will recognize your company on our “Supporters” page
