RECOMMENDATIONS • Amend Criminal Code Statute of limitation for prosecution of criminal acts committed against children. • Age limit for voluntary sexual intercourse should be increased to 15 or 16 years of age. • Exaggerate penalties for perpetrators. • Mandatory medical psycho-social treatment for perpetrators. • Have register of perpetrators of all relevant criminal acts – database. Ensure measures of psycho-social assistance and support that are obligatory towards children victims, but also for the victim’s family. • Pass a Protocol on Proceedings of competent institutions and services in all cases of abuse and neglecting of a child. • Establish programs for informing and educating children about abuse in general and especially about sexual abuse. www.djeca.rs.ba Brussels, 2013
