Why are they important? • Eat animals to keep them from becoming over populated • Brings money from whale watching
COSEWIC Status The killer whales COSEWIC status is endangered.
Why is it in trouble? • Hunting and pollution are the main reasons for the species being endangered.
Protection • They are protected by Marine Mammal Regulations under the federal Fisheries Act
