  3. Setting Camp Green Lake is a dry a barren desert for kids that make mistakes. It used to be the biggest lake in Texas. Now it’s the only water source for a hundred miles of it self.

  4. Characters There are 10 characters in Holes.

  5. Author’s Page- Louis Sacher Louis Sachar was born in New York. He is best known for his book Stories From Wayside School. His book, Holes, won him The National Book Award and the Newbery Award.

  6. Stanley- Caveman Stanley is the newest member of Camp Green Lake. He didn’t really steal the shoes. He is white and over weight.

  7. Mr. Sir Guard at Camp Green Lake. Is mean Has a rattlesnake tattoo Eats a bag of sunflower seeds every week to replace smoking.

  8. Rex- X-Ray Leader of the boys in cabin D. He’s black. 2nd smallest in the group. His nickname is X-ray because that’s Rex in pig Latin. He’s been a Camp Green Lake the longest.

  9. Mr. Pedanski- Mom Counselor of group D. White. Almost bald. Calls campers by their given name. Tries to help the campers with their life after Camp Green Lake.

  10. Zero- Hector Black. Cant read. Fastest digger. Smallest camper in group D. Gets torturing from Caveman.
