Bronze Lodges The lodge must qualify as a Lodge in Good Standing, per their District Rep, PLUS: • Raise a minimum of one brother per year - can be accomplished by One-Day Class • Establish and maintain a Mentor program • Stated meetings are held according to by-laws • Have a minimum of one brother in the lodge progressive line who is not a Past Master • Host a minimum of two LEO Programs per year plus…
Bronze Lodges, continued • Host a minimum of two social and / or community programs per year • A minimum of two members from the lodge should attend the area conference held in their region
Silver Lodges The lodge must qualify as a Bronze Lodge, per their District Rep, PLUS: • Raise a minimum of one brother per 50 members, with a minimum of two brothers annually. • Able to put on degree work, including all lectures. Gold Lodges The lodge must qualify as a Silver Lodge, per their District Rep, PLUS: • Raise a minimum of 1 brother per 30 brothers with a minimum of 5, with a program of traditional degrees in lodge, presenting all degrees including lectures • Host a minimum of six LEO Programs per year • Mentors are assigned for one year and each new brother is involved in a minimum of two events plus…
Gold Lodges, continued • Conduct a minimum of one program per year on appendant bodies • Conduct a minimum of one evaluation per new brother within the first year of his mentorship and as a member of the lodge
Annual Communication This requirement is equal at all levels. Each lodge is required to attend, the Master, Wardens or their proxies. We encourage the Secretaries, LEOs and other members to attend, especially the breakout sessions, which are always very educational
Raisings Minimum expectations on raisings per calendar year are as follows: • Bronze – 1 brother per year • Silver – 1 brother per 50 brothers • Gold – 1 brother per 30 brothers
Mentor Program The key to membership retention is a good mentor program. If a new Mason is given a good start they’ll continue with the Lodge for years. • Bronze – Mentor assigned • Silver – Mentor assigned for one year, records kept. • Gold – Mentor assigned for one year, record kept on tasks accomplished. Each new Mason within the first year should also keep record and evaluate their mentor and the lodge.
Degree Work The goal here is that each Lodge is able to perform its own degree work • Bronze – Work done at other lodge or One-Day • Silver – The Lodge can do the degree work, with assistance from other lodges, i.e. lectures • Gold – The Lodge performs all degree work, itself, including lectures
Lodge Certification This requirement is equal at all levels. Each Lodge is examined annually by their District Rep.
LEO Program Educational programming is important to the health of the lodge. • Lodge in Good Standing – one per year • Bronze – 2 per year • Silver – 4 per year • Gold – 6 per year
Annual Report & Per Capita This requirement is equal at all levels. Each lodge is required to submit their Annual Report and Per Capita payment to the Grand Lodge by January of each year.
Charities This requirement become mandatory at the Bronze level. Each lodge should have a minimum of one presentation from Minnesota Masonic Charities (MMC) per year.
Success through Recognition
