  2. Food vital Health • Fats are important energy resources. Each gram of fat contains about 37.8kJ energy. Fats are broken down into glycerol and fatty acids. Glycerol can be converted to glucose by the liver to release more energy. • Fats can solute Vitamins A, D ,E and K. So these nu can be digested, absorbed and transported with fats. Some essential fatty acids, which are important for body health, can be only got from foods with specific fats. • Fats prevent organs from being damaged by shock and help maintain body temperature. • Fats can be also used as a buffer in human body. It stores some harmful substances to protect human body. So that these offending substances can be removed from body before it hurts us.

  3. The importance of fat ①.provide energy for your body: fats are broken down in the body to release glycerol and free fatty acid, and glycerol can be converted to glucose by liver thus can be used as source of energy. ②.a good solvent of some essential vitamins: vitamins A, D, E, K can only be digested absorbed with the help of fats. ③.be used as building materials: fats are essential building blocks of the cell membrane, promoting healthy cell function. ④.protect body organs against injury, maintain healthy skin and hair. ⑤.insulate the body from cold. ⑥.serve as a useful buffer towards a host of diseases. Store some particular substance to protect vital organs in fat tissue; synthesis hormone

  4. How does it keep our bodies healthy • Fat is an important part of food, and it can produce more energy with same mass than any other nutrition. It can produce 2 times energy than sugar or protein. • And an adult human being has to have about 50g fat to keep in healthy. • The liver is used to help with digesting fat, fat will be devided into little drops to be easily digested. Then the enzyme can hydrolyze it, in this process it will make fatty acids and glycerol. Thusly,it will be absorbed by the villi, then we can make it release energy. • And fat can keep our body temperature to make us warm in cold environment .It can protect body organs against injury. In daily life,it can store energy in our body.
