More than a billion people in the world today lack access to clean drinking water and there are more people in the world’s hospitals today suffering from waterborne diseases than any other ailment. • Glaciers are shrinking. • Droughts are increasing. • Salt-water intrusion spreads. • The worlds fresh water shortage is set to get worse.

  4. Using solar energy has proved to offer a lot of economic and environmental benefits which contribute to a healthy and secure future at the end of the day.

  5. Because our fossil fuels are running out soon we will need a new form of energy!!

  6. There is to much oil and coal consumption!!

  7. Solar power, wind power, hydro power, and many other forms of renewable energy, are some of the things people are doing to help now.

  8. Solar power works by taking in the rays of light from the sun and converting them into electricity.

  9. Solar power does not specifically generate or purify any water but the electricity produced from it can be used to purify water.

  10. Solar power is a onetime fee, all you do is pay for the solar panels and that’s it! Solar power can even make you money; any power generated can be sent back to the power grid and can reduce your electricity bill! It can be used to power any electric appliances, cars, tools, etc.

  11. Critics may say that solar power is not the answer because it currently does not generate enough electricity to power a country.

  12. But solar power is fairly new technology that only recently has it been used anywhere besides in space to power satellites
