  1. Artists of Nm Research Groups of 4-5

  2. Step 1: Get into Groups of 4 • Each Group member will be responsible for researching and answering questions on at least one Artist/Author of NM

  3. Step 2: Designate Tasks • Each Goup member will research one of the following: • Mable Dodge Stern (Lujan) • Ansel Adams • Georgia O’Keeffe • D.H. Lawrence • John GawMeem

  4. Step 3: Research the following for each Character: • Where did they come from, and what is their educational background? • Where are their parents from? • When did they come to NM, and which town did they settle in? • What art style were they most famous for? • What was their most famous piece of art work? • Why are they significant to NM History? ***All of the research questions should be answered for the Artist/Author you are responsible for.

  5. Step 4: Locate at least two sources for each character • Your source should be a .edu, .gov, or .org website. • Wikipeida is not a valid internet source for this project. • Once you locate your sources see me for approval. • ***Write down your 2 sources used on the appropriate section in your handout.

  6. Step 5: Share with your group members • All four group members will teach their group members about their Artist/Author • Each Group Member will finish filling out the required questions for each Artist/Author based on what was shared with them from their group members.
