INSCAPE Overview • INSCAPE develops a scalable and intuitive authoring software • To create and experience interactive stories and simulations • For amateurs and professionals in the domains of: • Simulation and Training • Education and Entertainment • Animation and Cartoons • Communication and Marketing • Live performances • Cinema and Television • The project spans over 4 years and includes 13 partners • September 2004 : Kick off • September 2006 : Alpha release of the INSCAPE system • September 2007 : Beta release of the INSCAPE system • September 2008 : Final release, end of the project

INSCAPE Dissemination Highlights • Strategy • Start with general information for the public and minimal publicity and then progressively increase release of information at each version of the software (to ensure confidentiality versus competition, and to maximise credibility by not releasing immature results to the public) • Draw a Plan to prepare exploitation of the outcomes by the end of the project (our Dissemination and Use Plan is updated every 6 months and includes market and exploitation considerations) • Communication Channels • Web Site (news, downloads, general information, contacts, online forum) • Public Events (participation in 25 conferences and tradeshows so far) • Scientific publications in conferences and journals (12 papers published so far) • Open Community workshops and forum (currently 127 members) • Consortium members’ networks (existing clients, advertising and sales channels) • Communication Material (flyers, brochures, Cd-roms, posters) • Two dissemination target groups: • Potential users in their related user domains • Scientific community

Important dissemination actions (2006-2007) • Events co-organised by INSCAPE and its members • EUROPRIX Top Talent Award, Vienna, Austria, 03/2006, organised by ICNM • TIDSE 2006 - Technologies for Interactive Digital Storytelling and Entertainment, Darmstadt, Germany, 10/2006, organised by ZGDV • ICVS 2007 - International Conference on Virtual Storytelling, France, with the support of INSCAPE • Other main events with INSCAPE presence • Alpha release of Inscape, Sept. 2006: dissemination on Web site, brochure and OC workshops • CeBIT, NAB, MILIA, FIFA World Cup 2006, World Summit of Arts & Culture, SIGGRAPH, MIFA Cooperation Opportunities • Common planned events: booth or other resources sharing • Synergy between potentially related projects: co-dissemination efforts
