As a CNA, Tiffany discusses how she attends to the needs of the patients’, by feeding, showering, and dressing them, keeping their rooms looking nice, and transferring them by wheelchair to appointments or other parts of the facility. ”

A CNA is a Certified Nursing Assistant, and is the backbone of the nursing world. When entering a Doctor’s office or in an ER setting, the CNA is generally the first line of assistance that anyone receives.”

Included on this slide is a PDF of a document to further explain what a CNA does, and the roles of a CNA. After reading this document, you should have greater understanding of a CNA.”

These are just some of the basic skills of a CNA that match some of the information provided in the PDF document.”

That is a scary subject to talk about, but in reality, infection control is something that you do every day, and is as simple as washing your hands before and after touching something infectious, such as garbage, your hair, your face, or even after sneezing and coughing. Little gestures do big things when it comes to hygiene safety.”

Worked Example: To answer the question, Chris will guide the learners through a worksheet that is designed to address hand washing and test the knowledge of the learners. Once the worksheet is complete, the learners have the chance to check their answers. What do you think is the answer to this question? Why is hand washing so important, and what are the proper steps in hand washing to ensure that you know how to effectively control the spread of germs.”
