Exploring Breakout Rooms WE WILL BE SENDING YOU TO THE BREAKOUT ROOMS FOR ABOUT 4 MINUTES • WHILE THERE: • Use the Talk button to speak with your classmates. • Use the Whiteboard tools to complete the Word Scramble. • Raise your hand if you have a question. (Moderators will see this!) • Notice that you have page control. • Move yourself from room to room by dragging your name into another room in the Participants panel. C

Best Practices • Consider allowing participants to move themselves in/out of Breakout Rooms. • Anything done/created in a Breakout Room must be shared in the Main Room in order to be included in the Recording. • Instruct participants to use the Raise Hand tool if they need attention in their rooms. • Have activity slides ready to copy to Breakout Rooms to guide participants. • Always keep an eye on the Main Room, in case participants drop out of the session. They will be placed in the Main Room whenever they reconnect. • Use the Timer tool to keep participants on task. • Use the Send Announcement feature in the Chat panel to get a text message to all participants.
