Program History • Early to mid 2000’s • Contracted cycling rides with the Breckenridge Outdoor Adventure Center • 2008 • Kelvin assisted with the Paralympic Experience • End of 2008 • Needs Assessment conducted; cycling was ranked in the top 10 list of leisure and recreational interests • Summer 2009 • First ride offered with use of CycleDifferent’s cycles • TRP began the process of purchasing handcycles and recumbent cycles through grants (OOF and NRPA)
Program Growth • 2009 rides: • 2-4 per season; 8 participants • 2012 rides: • 2 per month; 12-14 participants with waiting lists!
