  2. Logistics of the Problem • The heating system that is in place is ancient and wasteful. • The windows are just as old leaky and single pane.

The magnitude of the Problem • The Russell Sage Laboratory is a huge old building consisting of four floor and dozens of rooms with a total of 275 windows. • Each room has the on and off heating and the large 4’x7’ by seven windows. • During the fall they are left open with the heat on full bore. Hundreds if not thousands of dollars are literally flowing out the window.
