  3. The Taliban I researched the Taliban taking over the city of Kabul. Who? The Article is about Latifa, and her experience living under the Taliban rule When? The Taliban took Kabul on September 27th 1996 What?   4. What led up to the event? The Taliban wanted the people of Afghanistan to follow Sharia law. Sharia law is the Taliban’s interpretation of the Quran
  5. What were the results? The Taliban took away all rights for women Required everyone to follow Sharia law Many Afghan people were killed
  6. What made it interesting? This article made the issue of the Taliban interesting to me because it showed what they did, and how a woman went through life under the rule, being stripped of their rights.
