  4. Extended Role for Mentors who become known as Sign-off Mentors

  5. ROLE OF GCRB MENTOR FROM 2011

  6. Sign-off Mentor • Existing Mentors will be able to perform the ‘Sign-Off’ role until 2013 • Update training will be available • All mentors must have done new training by 2013

  7. Portfolio is Anonymised • GCRB Administrator allocates a random 8 digit number • Academic assessments done anonymously

  8. Portfolio Content • Portfolio is all electronic, no hard copies submitted • Content remains the same GUIDELINES NOW ON WEBSITE

  9. New Timeframe • Intention to Register submitted February, portfolio submitted April • No 6 month gap between Intention and Submission

  10. Academic Assessment • Primary and secondary assessors are replaced by ‘Assessor Pairs’ consisting of GCRB Board members and an invited pool of assessors • The Chair of the Board is not involved as an assessor pair, but is involved in an advisory capacity for applicants and mentors throughout the process.

  11. Work of Assessor Pairs • Assessment Panel (all Assessor Pairs and GCRB Moderator) meet over 1 day • The academic work is marked by Assessor Pairs and then the remainder of the e-portfolio is reviewed.
