East JerusalemEconomy • The special character of the Jerusalem economy is based on its religious, historical, cultural, and political richness. • A growing young population with increasing demands (250K in the city). • Underdeveloped, with high potential even under the status quo. • Activity mainly in the housing, tourism, trade, and services sectors. • Local Experience in risk management. • Lack of capital and financial infrastructure has prevented the establishment of projects in East Jerusalem.

Pipeline of projects • Number of projects and project concepts have been identified. • Projects vary in size, however, they are mainly small to medium size. • Pipeline includes: • Quality housing projects • A variety of hotels (3 to 5-star) in various key locations • Tourist related facilities. • Commercial real estate. • Light industry buildings.

Basic Concept of the Fund • A Fundraising and management mechanism to implement projects in East Jerusalem. • Invest / partner with local investors and owners of feasible projects. • Will enable diversification of investment (size, sector, & location). • Participants are expected to gain above average returns on investment

  7. Fund Structure • Offshore registration with corporate governance. • Fund size: US$100 million; 25% already committed by sponsor • International legal, tax, and financial advisors and auditors. • Exit strategy in 5 years (minimum) to 12 years (maximum) • An investment process based on experience and integrity. • Financial commitment: payments to be made upon demand, as projects are approved for investment.
