Full-time enrollment • Students on F1 visa are required to take at least 12 units each semester • 12-14 units recommended for 1st semester
General Education & major • General Education (GE): Courses that will give students breath of knowledge. Required to earn associate degree or transfer to 4-year university. • Major: Courses in students’ chosen field of study.
Case study: Yumi • Educational goal: Study hospitality at OCC • ESL placement test: ESL 55 and ESL 31 • Math placement test: Math 120 • Wants to work for an airline after graduation
