It depends from printers to printers and of course their type if they can get reset or not otherwise there are steps to successfully reset a printer which can bring it back to its default settings easily. This process is subsequently easy and people can even keep data stored in the memory even after a power-off. In fact, a lot of people do not know this but memory of a printer can also get reset if needed and you can erase all the memory of it. Whenever you feel lost in between the process of resetting you can simply dial HP Printer support number.

  3. For resetting, one needs to follow these steps and see if that works in your model of device or not: • For 1100 and 1200 printers, hold a green button while device is on. For all other models, it is suggested to turn off before resetting. To reset NVRAM I.e. non-volatile random access memory, one has to hold down ‘Go’ button for 20 seconds while turning it on. • For 2200 model, hold down ‘Go’ and then look for ‘Attention’ light, leave the button and let the device lights rotate around. Keep holding the button until both ‘Ready’ and ‘Go’ lights turn on to start resetting.

  4. For 2100 model, hold cancel’ button and then turn it back again. Leave cancel as soon as LED lights get on. This resets both printer and NVRAM. • In 5P or 6P printer, hold ‘Reset’ while turning its power on. Hold button for around 20 seconds and it will reset your device. • For those having model between 2300 and 4300, you should hold the ‘checkmark’ button and wait for LEDs to turn on. Find option of ‘Cold Reset’ on display and press ‘‘checkmark’ again. • Printers 4000, 4100, 8000, 5SI, have to power upholding ‘online’ or ‘go’ button.
