  2. “Bear Bryant's Three Rules for coaching: • 1) Surround yourself with people who can't live without football. • 2) Recognize winners. They come In all forms. • 3) Have a plan for everything.”

  3. Surround Yourself • Use Your District Leaders as Resources • Get Handbook and Read it (Especially the Chapters on Club Operations) • Review the Web • “It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.”

  4. Recognize Winners • Acknowledge that you are not all knowing • Realize That You Can Find Resources For Any Problem • Your Job is to Let the Club Leaders Win! • “Sure, luck means a lot in football. Not having a good quarterback is bad luck.”

  5. Have A Plan • 6 Examples of Coaching needs • In your District Team, Come Up with a Method of Working With Club Leaders to Address The Issue • Report Methods Your Group Would Use as A Zone Chair to Coach This Club

  6. Club Is Strong, but No One Participates In Zone, or District Activities

  7. Club President Does Not Follow An Agenda

  8. Club’s Members are Old and Say They are Just Too Tired to Try to Build the Club

  9. Small Group of Leaders Control Every Aspect of the Club---and folks are leaving Because of It

  10. Club is Holding Fund Raisers In Order to Pay Their Dues

  11. Club Meets, but Does Nothing (No Community Service Project)
