    2. St Patrick, Shipwrecked! The Legend states that after escaping from Ireland St Patrick was shipwrecked on this coastline. These are views from the cliffs and the beach where St Patrick first came to shore.

    3. The Legends of St Patrick in Ireland Legend tells us Patrick banished snakes in Ireland. These ‘snakes’ being the serpent symbol of the Druids. Legend also states that Patrick taught the Irish the concept of Trinity through a 3 leaved clover establishing the belief of ‘three divine persons in one God’, Father, Son and Holy Ghost

    9. Morecambe Bay There are large areas of sinking sand and high sand banks where people can get cut off with the fast moving incoming tide. Morecambe Bay has long had a reputation as a dangerous place! When the tide is in (twice a day) this beach is covered by the sea.

    10. They were unaware of the dangers and were caught by rising waters in the Hest Bank area.
