  3. Picture prompting • Great for creating task lists • Great for steps of new tasks • Can be textual, text with picture, or picture plus audio • Prices range from free to $49.99 • Most common apps are Visules, Steps, iPrompts

  4. Steps for Creating Picture and Video Supports • (1) Determine the participants who need intervention. • (2) Identify the tasks that should be targeted for intervention. • (3) Determine the settings in which the tasks will be performed. • (4) Develop a task analysis for each task designated for intervention. • (5) Assess the participant on their current performance of the task • (6) Determine the technology that the participant will use for self-prompting.

Steps (continued) • (7) Record the prompts on the device by recording a prompt for each major task analysis step. • (8) Train the participant on the use of the device and self-prompting system to a specified criterion. • (9) Have the participant use the device to self-prompt completion of daily living tasks identified for intervention. • (10) Adjust prompts as needed by clustering or chunking them. • (11) Assess maintenance and generalization.

  7. Visules • Cost 4.99 • Lets create a task list • Straight picture with check off • Take the step by step directions provided in hard copy and create a task list for your group with the task provided to your group

  9. Visules—there are 3 buttons across the bottom—flows, actions, settings

  10. Visules--flows • Serious of actions required for a task. You can set up flows for the whole day. When you click on a flow, it gives step by step directions

Visules • Click + to create a new sequence • Type in test. • Click save • Click green + to add a new item to the flow • It will bring up screen that says all, daily reminders, • Click all, then click one to begin sequence. • It takes you back to the flow screen. • Repeat to add 2-3 items to your flow

  13. Visules • It should appear as a flow in your screen now • Future implications—you can upload pictures to create a pictoral flow of a job task or sequence. The student can click on each task as they complete it

  23. Picture Scheduler • 2.99 • Best for video models • Take step by step directions provided and create a video model for the task provided • Make sure you use the camera to create the video first • Great if you want to create quick video models

  25. Picture Scheduler • You must record the video before you start. To do that, click camera, switch to video if needed, click the red button to start recording, have one person read the task as someone else completes it. Put all of it in one recording.

  33. My pics Talk • Give your story a name—usually the name of the task, then click save

  38. My Pics Talk • Click the red button to begin recording the step, give an audio direction while someone performs the step. Click the red button to stop recording

  41. My Pics Talk • Make sure the story you want it to be in is highlighted under story

  44. My Pics Talk • You may have to click custom sort when the story is done to resort it. It will sometimes default to alphabetical the first time you use the story

  45. iMovie • Can edit videos or place videos and picture • Good for creating visual resumes that can include pictures, videos, and texts of students working
