Starting the process 40 students were involved in the Brisbane Media Map Subject. The website breaks down media companies in to categories such as, media services, community and culture, new media, print media, music and so on. Each of these categories are broken down further into subcategories. Print media for example was broken down into magazines, newspaper, publishers and street press.
Starting the process continued. Students were allocated into three groups each, taking on the responsibility of one category and two other sub categories. I was placed in the Indigenous and Multicultural subcategory in Community and Culture and Music Production and Records in Music, and was a part of the internal communication team, which was responsible for communication among all students in the subject.
Responsibilities Cohesive communication among all students in the subject - A Facebook group was created, as it was a logical and instantaneous communication tool Updating client online profiles Updating involved, communicating with companies and editing their profiles online, to a hirer academic standard
