Blueprint: a plan for living above life’s storms The book originated from his speaking engagements at various colleges and universities such as Colgate and Syracuse. He had really came from a real jacked-up past, and when I began speaking on college campuses about it, people began asking for books.
A little more about his past Kirk Franklin’s mother was a crack head who didn’t want him when he was a child and the only thing his father has ever did for him was giving him a haircut. Even though it’s painful for Franklin to talk about his past he does it anyway he tells everyone that he was raised by an old lady that always made his clothes and that he always went to school out of date, if you know what I mean. And some people may not know it , but he told people that he always wanted a Jheri Curl to look like Michael Jackson, but Gertrude wouldn’t let him so instead she always rolled his hair in pink rollers.
