TWO HANDED ALPHABET?? • BSL- British Sign Language • Sign language used by deaf people in the United Kingdom (UK) • However, many people In UK who are not deaf utilize this • Like ASL alphabet you can use left or right hand as dominate, depending on the person • The dominate hand acts as a “pointer”
Two-handed alphabet and Deaf-Blind?? • For DB who use tactile communication use this method as well. • Receiver (DB person) holds out hand, palm up so signer can point to letters using the receivers hand as the “paper” • To indicate “space” you may squeeze wrist DB 2-handed Example
