NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • COM-001-0 [Requirements 2 and 5] TELECOMMUNICATIONS • Transmission Operators, Balancing Authorities, NERCNet User Organizations • Manage, alarm, test or actively monitor vital telecommunications facilities • Attention to emergency telecommunications facilities • Written procedures for the loss of facilities

NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • Var-001-1 Voltage and Reactive Control • Transmission Operators, Purchasing-Selling Entities • Monitor and control voltage levels and MVAR flows • Reactive reserve monitoring and acquisition • Status of generator voltage regulators and power system stabilizers • SEE SPP Criteria 7.8 • SEE SPP Voltage & Reactive Management Taskforce WHITE PAPER

NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • FAC-008-1 Facilities Ratings Methodology • FAC-009-1 Establish/Communicate Facility Ratings • Transmission Owner, Generation Owner • Basis for methodology used in developing facilities ratings • SEE SPP Criteria 12 • Ratings must be available to the Reliability Coordinator and other authorities

NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • MOD-024-1 Generator Gross & Net Real Power Capability • SPP, Generation Owner • SPP must develop criteria for generation owners • SEE SPP CRITERIA 12.1 • Generation owners must verify real power capability, based on SPP Criteria, beginning 1-1-2007 • No phase-in period

NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • Mod-025-1 Generator Gross & Net Reactive Power Capability • SPP, Generation Owner • SPP must develop criteria for generation owners • SEE SPP CRITERIA 12.1 • SEE SPP CRITERIA APPENDIX 10 • Generation owners must begin verifying reactive power capability beginning 1-1-2007 • 5-year phase in program [20% per year]

NEW STANDARDS FOR 2007 • PRC-021-1 Under-voltage Load Shedding Program • Transmission Owners, Distribution Owners • Equipment installed on the Bulk Electric System or to mitigate voltage issues on the BES must keep a database of information: • 5 data points for each system • Annual updates to database • SPP will maintain regional database of UVLS systems • SEE SPP Criteria 7.5
