National ITS Architecture “ARTIST” • ARTIST is a project funded by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport • TTS has supported the Ministry in: • ARTIST Web site development • Organisation of the ARTIST Conference held on 11st March • Organisation of 5 Thematic Workshops National ITS Associations Platform Meeting 6th May 2003

ARTIST Workshops • The aim was to show transport operators how to apply ARTIST to: • “User Information Systems” – Turin, 11 January • “Emergency Calls” – Milan, 17 January • “Hazardous Freight Transport” – Naples, 27 January • “Public Transport Management” – Rome, 30 January • “Multimodal Freight Transport and Logistics” – Bologna, 24 February National ITS Associations Platform Meeting 6th May 2003

ITS National Observatory • The Observatory, established in 2001, aims at monitoring the state of development/diffusion of ITS in Italy • Activities started in 2003: • Update of the Survey on ITS diffusion in Urban Area • Galileo Applications to Transport Systems and Services in Italy National ITS Associations Platform Meeting 6th May 2003

  11. Other Activities Planned • Master Course on “Road Safety” – Sept. – Oct. 2003 (in collaboration with the University of Florence) • ITS World Conference – Madrid, November 2003 National ITS Associations Platform Meeting 6th May 2003
