The game started at a blistering pace with both sides brimming with energy
The reds soon got into their stride and Anth Lloyd found himself in space to slot home.
The whites hit back almost instantly with a crafty old-fashioned, through ball from Adigo to set up Bowen for a cool finish past a helpless Conyard.
The Reds kept the onslaught going though and showed their class, outnumbering the White’s on the counter attack.
It was only a matter of time before they made the pressure count and some bombardment at the White’s goal forced a mistake from Hogarth, who was left embarrassed by Ward.
Ward tried another effort but found the fence just too low, but the orbit of planets just right.
White’s tried as they could but the forward line found the Red’s goalkeepers in inspired form.
A mixup in the White’s midfield ensured an interception by A.Graham found it’s way to Prest, who laid it on a plate for Lloyd to grab his second.
Not to be outdone by Ward’s earlier effort, Milly tried his luck, but unfortunately for the Chairman’s car, his shot was not on target – or in the stadium.
The Red’s pressed again with Bloomfield being denied by a ‘wonder’ save from Marron.
Seconds later, some good Red’s play left Marron powerless to stop a Prest rocket into the corner
The White’s had one final push forward with J. Mackay becoming increasingly frustrated
The final whistle was blown however with the Red’s deserving their victory and the White’s wondering where it went wrong Whites 1 Reds 4

Team News...cont White Team Had a solid game, thought he put the White’s back in it. 7 Some mazy runs, but ultimately ran out of steam 7 Sounds like Chewbacca when he gets angry, ran at the Red’s defence and had a few shots saved. 6 Played in every position, some nice touches 6 Held the ball up well, tried to be the new Marco Van Basten with volley Ultimately solid game, looked rusty at times and will never live down Ward’s nutmeg 7 7 Found it hard going on his return, played well and had a smart shot saved. Usual tenacious battling display. Shouted at his own boots at one point 6 7
