  1. Mass Deletion of Printers from LFT-MSP July 2010 WARNING: This process is irreversible!!

  2. Scenario #1 • This scenario is one where the Partner had a rollup client that is no longer under contract and now the Partner wants to “clean up” the UI of their LFT-MSP.

  3. Step 1: Ensure that the rollup client is no longer connected to the Partner’s LFT-MSP (uninstall the LFT/LSM/eLSM from the client site) Step 2: Click on the “Company Name” of the rollup client you want to delete

  4. Step 3: Click on “REMOVE this Rollup Customer Site and all of it’s Printers” You will then see this pop-up box……click “OK”

  5. Your Rollup Client has been removed and all it’s printers have been deleted from the LFT-MSP database.

  6. Scenario #2 • This scenario is one where the Partner wants to permanently remove/delete many devices simultaneously, rather than through the device administration/retire tab.

  7. Step 1: You must first remove the desired device(s) from any grouping in LFT. This will move the device to the “ungrouped printers” listing

  8. Step 2: Highlight the desired printers and click on “<<“ to remove those devices from the Retired group and into the “Ungrouped Printers” group….and then click “Apply Changes”

  9. This will move the device to the “ungrouped printers” listingStep 3: Navigate to “Trash” and then click on the “Trash” link

  10. You are now able to add printers to the “Trash” group from the available, “Ungrouped Printers”.Step 4: select desired printers that are to be permanently deleted and add them to the “Trash” group….then click “Apply Changes”

  11. Step 5: after you have added the desired devices to the “Trash” group, click on “REMOVE all of the printers in Trash” button…..then click “OK”

  12. Your printers have now been PERMANENTLY deleted from the LFT database.Note: depending upon how many printers are being deleted and the server configuration, it may take several minutes to complete the deletion
