  2. INTRODUCTION G E P e t r o l GEPetrol it’s State Oil company created in 2001, to follow up the petroleum operations on behalf of the State, such as: 1. Manages the state interest in the Oil sector 2. Negotiation and signature of PSC’s.

  3. INTRODUCTION (Cont.) G E P e t r o l 3. Marketing of the crude oil of State production in Contracts. 4. Develop Down Stream activities. 5. Participating in commercials and joint venture operations.

  4. State Participation in the Oil Production in E. G. G E P e t r o l • At the beginning of oil production in Equatorial Guinea, the State participation share was insignificant, around of 5%. The State to improve this situation, the national oil company (GEPetrol ) was created in 2001, to work together with oil companies.

GEPetrol Achievements since 2002 G E P e t r o l With the support of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy, we negotiated and increase the State share participation in many PSC’s. • BLOCK P: 20% carried interest. • BLOCK O: 30% (10% carried interest and 20% paying int.) • BLOCK Q: 25% carried interest.

OPEN BLOCKS G E P e t r o l Total open blocks:28 with 280,267.3 Km2 Of area (69,093,646.7973 Acres): Bioko Island basin:8 blocks with 8,903.9 Km2 of area (2,038,556.6583 Acres) Rio Muni basin:16 blocks with 20,066,1 Km2 of area (4,958,421.601 Acres) Annobón basin:4 blocks with 251,297.3 Km2 of area (62,096,668.538 Acres)

  10. THE MAINS PROMOTE ACTIVITIES G E P e t r o l 1. We organize One Annual GEPetrol Meeting. The 5th Annual Meeting for 2007 will be held on 8th-10th June in Mongomo, city, Equatorial Guinea. 2.The Ministry of Mines, Industry and Energy and GEPetrol was organizing a License Round recently.
