  1. Conversations with a new pregnant mom Connie Dello Buonohealth educator and author of ebook on pregnancy at amazon.com408-854-1883 motherhealth@gmail.com

  2. Coping with the upcoming labor • Childbirth is hard labor for first time moms but our bodies are designed for it • A mile a walk a day months before labor ensures that you have energy when the time comes but also positions the baby properly in the birth canal • You know labor day when you are nauseaus, losing half a pound of weight that day and feeling the urge to pooh without anything coming out

  3. The baby inside during labor • The baby’s skull is not fully fused yet and many meds during labor might pass into it affecting the baby’s brain especially and might even cause ADD, autism and other mental disorders • So spend more time at home, in the showers, walking and moaning until it is unbearable and the time has come to go to the hospital (true for first time mom, second time mom is quicker so go to the hospital sooner)

  4. What to eat • Whole foods, no sugar or fatty foods, no soda or too much salt and just veggies, and other whole foods or unprocessed foods and meat or fish • More fiber-rich carbs and iron-rich food during the last trimester and greens before pregnancy • Avoiding alcohol before pregnancy and meds (all forms of drugs) before and during pregnancy

  5. More tips • Contact Connie 408-854-1883 or by email motherhealth@gmail.com
