Did you experience anyroadblocks/stumbling blocks? • Yes I did experience roadblocks/stumbling blocks. This roadblock/stumbling block was my laziness. This is what kept me from getting the good grades I know I'm capable of. Once I realized my grades were really low I was already buried in work I have not turned in.
Did you experience any surprises? • Yes I experiences two major surprises. • 1st what surprised me was at how lazy I got during the school year. I was like 1 assignment missing that’s nothing. 1 assignment turned into 2 and 2 turned into 4 and so on. I definitely learned my lesson and I will not continue this pattern next year. • 2nd I am surprised at how much work we could have at one time. I personally think that sometimes it was ok and then other times it was ridiculous. The point is that no matter how much work we get it is do-able and I need to get it done. A good way to do this is to start working on it earlier so the work load is not so “ridiculous”.
How prepared were you for sophomore year? • I was prepared knowledge wise but completely unprepared work-load wise. • I think my freshman year teachers did well in preparing me knowledge wise for sophomore year. Sometimes it was challenging but overall it was pretty easy. • The teachers warned me about the work-load but I did not listen. The reason I was completely unprepared was because I did not listen to those teachers and I took sophomore year too lightly.
What would have helped you be better prepared? • The only thing that could of possibly prepared me more better was if I had a more serious attitude towards the work-load. If I had a more serious attitude I probably would of did the work.
How prepared do you feel for your junior year? • I feel very prepared for Junior year knowledge wise and work-load wise. • Again I believe that all of my sophomore year teachers did an excellent job at teaching me what I need to be taught. • Sadly my grades had to suffer greatly for me to learn a lesson. The good part was that I learned a lesson before it got way worst. The reason this prepares me is because there is no way I am doing this again next year. I am prepared to do all and any work that is assigned.
What do you wish you knew then that you know now? • I wish I knew that I was going to be so lazy this year and that my grade were going to get so low that way I would of started to do all my work earlier that way my grade could have been way better than they are right now.
Besides time management and stress relief, what else do you think magnet students need help with? • I don’t think magnet students need help with anything else. Time management and stress relief are the 2 main things we need help with. If those problems were solved most students if not all would stop being lazy in my opinion.
What advice do you have for future magnet students? • The advice I would give to future magnet students is to do all of your work and do not be lazy. Cause if you become lazy it will become a habit and the pattern will be hard to break. By the time you realize how much you have been affected it will be too late.
