  2. Organization • One ice bucket per group of four • When your filtered cauliflower juice is ready, bring your tube to the TA who is organizing the centrifugations.

  3. Equipment notes • Do not write on the spec cuvettes or the polypropylene centrifuge tubes. • Do not throw away the centrifuge tubes. • Rinse all glassware and put all items (except spec cuvettes) in the dishpans. Return spec cuvettes to rack.

  4. Safety • Be careful with the sodium azide! • Cut your own parafilm and cover tubes to mix. • Place tips used to measure azide and leftover stock azide in bag on front desk • Pour reaction mixtures in labeled beaker in hood.

  5. Reminders • BEFORE YOU LEAVE: calculate initial velocity (slope) for tubes 3 and 4 and record on data sheet.
