What is a robot? • A robot is a mechanical or virtual machine which is capable of doing complex series of actions automatically. • Robots use artificial intelligence. • Artificial Intelligence is a developed computer system which is able to perform tasks which normally requires human intelligence.

  3. Who is she? • Lady Jan is a female robot hence the name. • She helps women shop, do their nails, do their hair and do their make up. • Lady Jan is basically your own personal stylist.

  4. How does she help humanity? • She helps us by saving time in the morning because she can so out hair or makeup while we finish doing work or read the newspaper. • She helps us because now we do not have to go to the salon every time we have a special event. • She is also a one time investment. Unlike a salon paying every time for a makeover.

  5. What hardware does she use? • She uses a touch computer screen which is located on her “stomach” • She also has 2 robotic arms to do the makeup, hair and nails. • When the stomach cover is opened it contains a nail polish rack, make up and hair supplies. • Also on her neck there is a red button which shuts her on and off. • There is a microphone attached to her so we can verbally give her commands.

  6. What software does she have? • She will have artificial intelligence which will help when she is sent to get products or clothing items. • She will have programming language so she can speak any language. • She also has wireless internet to help do online shopping. • She also has the videos on how to do different hairstyles, nail art and make up looks.

  7. Safety • We will install the 3 laws of robotics. • A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. • A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. • A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. • We will have robot training where we will train the robot to obey and protect the human they are working for.
