A proper attitude toward sins • Many have improper attitudes toward sin – Some deny what sin is, or their sinfulness.- Some mock at sin- Some minimize or dismiss it- Many take pleasure in sinful behaviors Dealing with our sins - Forgiveness
A proper attitude toward sins • We must admit our sins • 1 John 1:8, 10 • Confession part of forgiveness – 1 John 1:9, Psalm 32:1 • Proverbs 28:13, He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy • James 5:16 Dealing with our sins - Forgiveness
A proper attitude toward sins • We must take personal responsibility • James 1:13-15 • Many make excuses –Eve & Adam – Genesis 3:12-13Aaron – Exodus 32:21-24King Saul – 1 Samuel 15:13-15 • While others may be complicit, ultimately you answer for yourself!
