  2. Backpack Express Backpack Express is now online!  Here you will find notices and flyers formerly sent home through the backpack.   Simply click on the Backpack Logo on your school webpages to view the announcements.

  3. The most recent Backpack notices rotate on the screen All of the postings are on the Backpack Express Archive page. (Click the backpack to get there)

  4. The Backpack Express Archive page lists all of the postings chronologically. Use the Search Box and date selection to help find a specific item.

  5. Subscribe to Backpack Express Subscribe to Backpack Express to receive an email each time a new post is published in the Backpack. 1. Click on “Alerts” on your Backpack Express Archive Page. 2. Login with your eNotify or parent portal credentials. Or create a new account. 3. Check the boxes next to the notices that will be emailed. Then click update settings.

  6. Announcements At Polson Middle School and Daniel Hand High School the flyers are located in “Announcements” on the side of the webpages. The most recent announcements rotate on the screen. Click on Announcements>More to view the Announcements archive.

  7. Announcements are published inside the finalsite portal for your convenience. Click the Announcements Tab to see all Most Recent postings

  8. Subscribing from within the portal As a portal user, you can subscribe from inside the portal to receive email alerts of new Announcement postings. 1. Login in the portal 2. Click on the Accounts tab 3. Click “My subscriptions”

  9. 4. Click “Settings” by News Alerts 5. Check the boxes to subscribe. Click Update Settings when finished.

  10. Mobile Site Backpack Express and Announcements can be viewed on our Mobile Site from your mobile device such as a cellphone or iPod touch. From your mobile device visit our website www.madison.k12.ct.us Click on News

  11. Our News consists of • District News (from the District homepage) • Backpack Express (you will then choose your school) • Announcements (where you choose either DHHS, or Polson).

  12. Text Messages You can now choose to receive a text message when the school day is altered.   This service is free but you may be charged by your cell provider.  Please check your cell service plan to find out if you will incur charges for receiving text messages.

  13. To sign up for Text Messaging, you will need to activate your phone: 1. Login to Community Login with your portal account , your eNotify account, or create a new account. 2. On the bottom of the “My Profile” tab, add your cell phone number. 3. Click “Enable Text Msg”. You will be sent a verification code to your phone. Enter this code on the screen by clicking Verify.

  14. Now that your phone is set up you can select what you want to receive as a text message: 4. Click the My Subscriptions Tab 5. Next to News Alerts click Settings 6. Check the box next to your cell phone number 6 7. Check the SMS/Txt Msg box next to Closings and Delays and then update settings. 7
