Tutorial Web Tool • SnagIt is a piece of software that is used for images and video capture from a PC or laptop. The URL for the website is www.techsmith.com. Whatever can be seen on your monitor can be captured using instructions from this website. Using SnagIt you can arrange, export, share and embed files. It is a great tool for video recording screen activity to create software expressions and presentations. This tutorial will be a huge asset for teachers and trainers showing others how to perform an action on a computer that captivates the attention of others. SnagIt is also a great tool for capturing the view of something on the central processing unit such as a part of a website for adding to displays. Instructions for using SnagIt • 1. Whatever you are trying to capture your desktop must be opened. Minimizing what you want to capture is not necessary, just open Snagit. • 2. Choose a capture from the Basic capture profiles. • 3. Click capture. • 4. The Snagit window disappears when you see a box with an explanation of how to complete the capture. You need to follow the directions to complete the capture. • 5. Upon completion, the capture appears in the Capture Preview window. Click on output on the Output Options toolbar. • 6. Click Done to close the Output Options toolbar.
