ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN • National Consultative Workshop • Conducted under the project • Involving all stake holders • Report to Government (By National Team) • DNA as a Board • Promotion of CDM by the Uganda Investment Authority • Preparation of Draft Guidelines and SD Criteria for Review and adoption by DNA

Proposed Composition of Board • Drawn from Public, Civil Society and Private Sector Institutions • Members serve in individual capacities • Experienced, knowledgeable and fairly senior positions.
Disadvantage of Public Officers in the Board • Lack of complete independence of public officers • Independent persons could remedy the above
ONGOING ACTIVITIES • Establishment of the DNA • Consultations among Government Departments • Answering different questions (legal, institutional,financial, etc.) • Preparation of the Draft Operational Guidelines and SD Criteria • UNFCCC Focal points advises Government on CDM projects in the interim, where necessary seeks technical advise
PENDING ACTIVITIES • Government Decision! • Review and development of the legal and institutional framework in line of the above • Focused workshops for legislators and policy makers • Operationalisation of the DNA • Assessment of Capacity Gaps • Implementation of capacity building activities as per the project
