  1. In-House Guards or Security Company? Which Will Be Perfect For You?

  2. So, if you are thinking of adding a security team to your firm but you’re not sure what to hire whether you should hire in-house guards or a security company. Both have associated costs with them. But working with a security vendor could be more cost effective than hiring a staff. Here’s why.

  3. Costs of Hiring There are always costs that are associated with hiring. Searching through Resumes, Advertising the job, Interviewing candidates. Each of those has a associated cost with it. It is not an issue of hiring costs when working with a security vendor.

  4. Payroll Taxes, Benefits and Wages These are all costs associated with employees of the business. When you hire an in-house team they will also be costs your organization pays. These expenses are handled by an outside supplier and you have to simply negotiate the rate in your contract.

  5. Vacations for Guards As we all know that Full-time Employees need to have occasional time off from work and that happens as in the form of vacation. Simply put, that is an expense you will have to pay with no work in return. A security company has to internally handle vacation for its guards. You don’t need to deal with the expense or the issue of finding someone to cover the employee who is out. It’s all done by the security company.

  6. Training As we know that all the new employees need to have training. Whether it happens by a third party or in-house, there is a associated cost with it. You have an outside security provider here that takes on those costs and only charges you the rate that is there in your contract.

  7. Uniforms for Guards When your employees are trained and hired the first priority should be that they have proper uniforms and boots. So, it will be the companies work to purchase them for each team member.

  8. Equipment for Guards The right gear is needed for a security guard to work at the fullest. Whether it’s Flashlight, Radios, Batons or Other items. So, for this matter your business will be the one writing the check to equip the security team of yours. The guards who will be appointed at your location will come equipped with the right gear for the job, with no added expense to you.

  9. Management Time On a day to day basis employees are needed to be managed. If you have a security manager on your team even then, that person will require guidance and direction from the upper management and that will result in valuable time spent. When a contract is done with a security company, then those guards will take their direction from that vendor. As, that vendor manages their personnel on your behalf as written in the terms of your contract.

  10. Security Company Costs From one security company to another company prices might vary, but they all are based on the same variables: The total cost of the company, The rate per guard, and The profit margin of the company. When you combine those items together, It equals the billing rate. When you get in touch with a security company then you are looking in a rate for the contract. It means budgeting becomes a lot simpler for you.

  11. The Bottom Line In-house security staff has a significant number of associated costs. At first glance that’s not so obvious. Where security company rates may change, that cost changes throughout the lifetime of contract with that vendor. Plus, there’s an added benefit that is associated with using a security supplier: That are well trained for that.

  12. The Bottom Line There are various agencies that offer Security Services at Los Angeles and in other parts of the world. So, if you want security services for your business then you can find that easily.
