Welcome to Algebra 2/Trigonometry! Mr. Reasonover
A Little About Me • I live in Leesburg. • Graduated from VCU in fine arts. • Graduated from Marymount University in Education with a licensure in secondary education in math. • This is my 9th year teaching at Harper Park. • Hobbies: reading, drawing, chess, and puzzles. • I’ve taught the following math subjects: • Math 8 • Algebra 1 • Everyday Algebra 1 • Algebra 2/Trigonometry
Course Information • Algebra 2/Trigonometry is a high school credit course. Students will also be taking the Algebra 2 SOL in May. Passing this SOL will give them one of two verified math credits that they need in order to graduate from a Loudoun County high school.
Google Classroom • Assignments and homeworks will be posted in Google Classroom. The students will receive a code to access the Google Classroom. • Extra math resources such as websites will be posted in Google Classroom as well.
Grading • Homework = 2 points (late work is accepted for 1 point) • Grading will be based on a point system. Items vary week to week, month to month. I assign point values based on the length and rigor of assignments/quizzes/tests. • The retake policy is in accordance with the Harper Park retake policy. • The final grade for the course will be the average of the two semesters.
Extra Help • Students can come see me in the morning before homeroom. • I am available to help students during 6th block resource. • After school support is available by appointment with a permission note from the parent.
