  2. VET CAMP 2019 Houses up to 52 high school students on UGA’s campus for seven days. Questions? Please email: vetcamp@uga.edu Eligible students must be 10th, 11th or 12th grade high school students (at the time of application) who are interested in the veterinary profession.   3. Young Scholars Program YSP is open to all area high school students who will be at least 16 years old by June 3, 2019.   This premier summer internship program provides hands-on research opportunities with UGA researchers. The program is available at the Athens, Griffin and Tifton campuses. Students should complete an application at www.ysp.caes.uga.edu, provide their transcript and two letters of recommendation by the January 31st deadline.

Morehouse College SMASH Morehouse Summer Program Last Summer scholars took courses such as Design Thinking, Computer Science, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics of Equity, Identity in Pop Culture Contexts as well as others. Scholars enjoyed opportunities to network with STEM professionals of color from around the country from a range of disciplines and professions. You can find more information about the impact of SMASH nationally here. SMASH Morehouse will be adding a 3rd cohort for Summer 2019! Recruitment of 9th grade males from the metro Atlanta area will begin in October and extending into February. The SMASH application opens November 1, 2018 and will close on March 1, 2019.

(Current 9th, 10th, 11th) For Current 11th Grade: Prescheduled appointments for current 11th grade students and their parents. The selection of classes will be finalized with the assistance of advisors and counselors Tuesday, January 29 Thursday, January 31 5:00 pm or 6:15 pm For Current 10th Grade: Tuesday, February 12 Prescheduled appointments for current 10th grade students and their parents. The selection of classes will be finalized with the assistance of advisors and counselors.
