HEMP & Epidemic Diseases • HEMP: Develop district capacity • Training (23 Country Trainers + 150 District) • District plan development +20 plans • Integrate zoonotic diseases in health disaster plans • Collaboration: Public Health & Veterinary Public Health • Risks of emerging & re-emerging diseases • Surveillance & integration of response teams • Communication for preparedness & response • Reduce threat of disease transmission – “species jumping”
