Paws'n'Learn Training is a Coventry and Hinckley based Dog Training Service which was established in 1990. It was born from a desire to reduce the number of dogs who live restricted lives, end up in Rescue Kennels or are put to sleep because they behave inappropriately. PAWS'N'LEARN has an ethos of mutual communication and respect. Dogs are our companions and friends not our adversaries. Many problems are simply the product of a breakdown of communication, either between dogs or between a dog and it's family.
Dog Classes • Initial training for dogs over 20 weeks is offered on a one to one basis. At this stage most clients have specific training issues that they wish to address so it ensures that direct attention is given to meet the specific needs of each family. • You will be given the basics of how to train and progress the following exercises. This is supported by the Paws’n’Learn Training Pack to help you to continue to practice at home: • Control positions - sit, down & stand • Appropriate greeting • Appropriate play • Release cue • Recall • Grooming and handling • Settle down • Loose lead walking
Behaviour Why are behaviour and rehabilitation cases are seen on a 1-2-1 basis on veterinary referral only? Advice and Rehabilitation Training is available, using safe and relationship building TTouch methods. The first session is normally one to two hours long. Follow-up sessions are available to offer support through the Rehabilitation Training Programme. If neccessary, progressing to working with experienced socialising dogs and ultimately joining a small group class.
