6. Tasks • Students will read book “Where the Wild Things Are”. • Students will make a graphic organizer of the story. • Students will produce their own book based on different elements of short stories.

Tasks • What the class will do • Make an outline of six elements of the story including the literal and inferential elements: • Characters • Setting • Plot • Point of View • Conflict • Theme • Create a book in Microsoft Word, making a page for each short story element, using inferential knowledge.

8. Tasks • What Medina Will Do • Make an inspiration map of the three literal elements of the short story including • Characters • Setting • Plot • Create a book using Microsoft Word and Intellipics, making two pages for each short story element, using literal/concrete knowledge of the story.

9. Objectives • Medina • Medina will identify three literal elements of a short story. • Medina will gather information from a book. • Medina will use Inspiration as a graphic organizer. • Medina will use Intellipics to express ideas in pictures.

10. Objectives • Regular Education Students • Students will identify six elements of a short story. • Students will make inferences about the story to identify the theme, point of view, and conflict of the story. • Students will use Microsoft Word to express ideas in writing.
