Description/Duties • Anesthesiologists: • Responsibilities : determine proper anesthetic and dosage of the anesthetic for each patient • administer anesthetics orally or by gas or injection. • work in hospital settings and are always a member of a surgical team. • may also supervise assistants. • Have similar schedules to surgeons.

Income and opportunities • Earnings may very based on the area they practice in and the amount of patients they have. • Taking additional training is advised. • Anesthesiologists usually work with one or more surgeons . • The average annual salary of a Anesthesiologist is $ 318,806 • Over 36,00 Anesthesiologists practiced nationally in (2008) • The employment rate is expected to increase 20 % by 2018
