Box 31485-313 Karaj, Iran. Abstract Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric technique to measure the relative efficiency of a set of firms called decision making units (DMUs). This paper discusses several previous DEA techniques in efficiency evaluation and setting integer targets for integer-valued units and suggests a new improvement on the ability of linear data envelopment analysis models for finding efficient DMUs, benchmarking inefficient DMUs in integer-valued DEA (IDEA). An empirical study is also used to illustration the method.
