COMMUNICATION State Coordinators Network MoudyNabulsi Iowa’s State Coordinator The ACCT State Coordinators Network is the link between the Association and it’s member boards. It is designed for two way communication through the State Coordinators.

GOVERNANCE INSTITUTE FOR • STUDENT SUCCESS (GISS) • Partnership ACCT, Community College Leadership Program (CCLP), University of Texas at Austin college of Education, and support of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation • Year one visited Ohio • Year two Washington, Texas, and revisited Ohio • Year three West Virginia and plans to go to Nebraska, Southern California, Florida, and North Carolina
Voluntary Framework of Accountability • Partnership with American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and the College Board and supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Lumina Foundation for Education. • Formed to lead the nation’s community colleges to greater system of accountability. • 70 colleges beta-tested the first data elements Western Iowa Tech being one of them. The tool is now available to all community colleges.
ADVOCACY • Stand Up for Pell Grants Campaign $17 billion • Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training grant (TAA CCCTG) $500 million/year for 4 years focused on dislocated and unemployed workers. • Community College to Career Fund $8 billion 3 year investment placing 2 million skilled workers in high-demand jobs. • President Obama included a proposed $5 billion for community college modernization in his American Jobs Act.
