Biography & Education • 1938-1942: German Army • 1942-1946: studied architecture at • the Technische Hochschule in Munich • 1947: studied sculpture at • the Akademie der bildenden Kunste • 1948: married the architect Elisabeth Haggenmueller • and had 4 sons • 1947: back to cologne & working with his father • 1963-1985: professor of urban planning in Aachen
Influence 1947: worked for his father (famous catholic church builder) 1950: worked for Rudolf Schwarz (famous german church architect) 1951: worked for Cajetan Baumann in New York City 1952: returned to his fahter’s office 1955: his father did and he took over his office
